Explore our flagship lineup of industrial-grade plasma transferred arc (PTAW) and state-of-the-art laser cladding systems engineered for extreme surface durability.
As a prominent China Tig Soudure Manufacturer and pioneer in thermal surfacing, Shanghai Duomu has been a leading manufacturer and exporter of PTA cladding machines and Laser cladding machines for more than ten years with a strong technical background. Our corporate philosophy centers around engineering reliable metallurgical bonds that prevent premature component wear, cut operational downtime, and boost energy efficiency across major global sectors.
By blending traditional TIG (Soudure TIG) principles with advanced automated Plasma Transferred Arc (PTAW) and laser fusion technologies, we enable high-integrity surfacing of premium wear-resistant alloys. From heavy mining operations to aerospace assemblies, our systems are built to withstand the harshest mechanical conditions.
Shanghai Duomu houses an independent R&D team, which develops, produces and sells plasma cladding machine equipment. The welding machine has stable performance and can maintain efficient long-term operation. In addition, the laser cladding equipment sold by the company can effectively support large-scale remanufacturing projects. We have mature technological means to provide complete sets of industrial equipment solutions.
Our research focuses heavily on minimizing the heat-affected zone (HAZ) and regulating dilution rates during cladding operations. By controlling powder feed consistency and beam dynamics, we guarantee superior hardness retention in overlay alloys—ensuring that carbide-rich deposits maintain full hardness right from the fusion line without excessive substrate dilution.
From manual weld overlay techniques to robotic multi-axis laser deposition, our core R&D continues to push the boundaries of materials science.
Integrating micro-gap arc dynamics with precise powder delivery systems to restrict dilution rates to under 5%. Ideal for cobalt and nickel-based superalloy overlays on highly stressed industrial parts.
Coupling high-precision industrial robotic arms with real-time laser profiling to execute complicated 3D geometries, such as screw flights, turbine blades, and intricate inner bores.
Employing high-speed thermal vision and optical pyrometers to dynamically scale power output, matching temperature requirements to prevent thermal distortion and localized cracking.
At present, the company's products have penetrated into many fields such as aerospace military industry, nuclear power, petrochemical industry, coal mines, metallurgy and forging, agriculture, water conservancy and electric power, etc.
Extending the lifespan of soil-engaging tools, tillage disks, and subsoiler points using PTA tungsten carbide overlays.
High-precision cladding of jet engine blades, actuator rods, and specialty aviation components with superalloys.
Hardfacing drill collars, stabilizer bands, and mud pump liners to withstand severe abrasive deep-hole environments.
Restoring mill rolls, continuous caster rollers, and extrusion dies subjected to severe thermal fatigue and high pressures.
How Shanghai Duomu pairs manufacturing capacity with custom technological designs to deliver global cost advantages.
In the modern manufacturing landscape, reliability relies on both component quality and supply chain resilience. Operating from our central facility in Shanghai, Duomu manages a streamlined ecosystem spanning material procurement, automated assembly, CNC programming, and comprehensive Quality Assurance tests. By localizing our supply chain for core components (except precision optical and sensor units), we shield our partners from geopolitical market fluctuations and keep delivery lead times highly competitive.
We can provide customized equipment, automatic laser cladding equipment, automatic plasma cladding equipment, intelligent robot cladding equipment, etc. according to customers' requirements, including special equipment in the industry, such as hydraulic rod cladding machine, pick cladding machine, valve cladding machine, etc. This customization capability allows us to adjust system dimensions, torch designs, and feeding mechanisms to match the specific steel grades, shaft sizes, and hardfacing alloys required by each operation.
Our technical engineers formulate alloy powder parameter maps that match thermal expansion profiles, eliminating structural micro-cracks at the fusion line.
Incorporating programmable induction pre-heaters and post-clad heat treatments to guarantee structural uniformity on thick-walled structures.

How we support international procurement requirements and ensure smooth installation, training, and long-term service.
Purchasing heavy machinery from a overseas manufacturer requires rigorous attention to engineering compliance, local electrical standards, and post-sale service. Shanghai Duomu designs and builds systems in compliance with international CE guidelines, ensuring that electrical control systems, gas manifold assemblies, and safety interlocks align with global safety expectations.
To support smooth onboarding, we offer dual-mode training pathways: comprehensive virtual instruction for remote engineering teams, and on-site integration packages where our field service technicians install the equipment directly at your plant. In addition, our diagnostics program allows remote connection to your machinery, helping us troubleshoot CNC code issues, optimize parameters, and provide software updates without delaying your operations.

Manual TIG (Soudure TIG) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode and manual rod feed, which is highly operator-dependent and exposes components to higher heat inputs. In contrast, Plasma Transferred Arc (PTA) cladding uses a constricted plasma arc to melt alloy powders (like Stellite or Tungsten Carbide) directly into a shallow molten pool on the substrate. PTA is automated, offers high deposition rates, and provides tighter control over layer thickness and dilution rates.
Dilution occurs when the base metal melts and mixes with the surfacing alloy. If the dilution rate is too high (above 10-15%), the chemistry of the overlay alloy becomes degraded by the carbon steel substrate, which reduces wear and corrosion resistance. Duomu’s PTA systems are engineered to achieve low-dilution deposits (typically 3% to 7%), ensuring the protective overlay retains its full mechanical properties in a single layer.
Yes. Our integrated powder feeders are designed to handle high-density powders, including tungsten carbide (WC-Co) particles and nickel-based self-fluxing alloys, without clumping or flow issues. This enables high-efficiency cladding of high-wear parts like mining picks, extruder screws, and dredging cutter teeth.
Standard machines are typically dispatched within 30 to 45 days. For specialized, custom-engineered multi-axis robotic cladding lines, our design-to-delivery timeframe spans 60 to 90 days. This timeline includes design approvals, customized programming, and structural trial runs at our Shanghai plant before dispatch.
We supply a comprehensive starter kit of wearable components (nozzles, gas lenses, and feed lines) with every machine purchase.
